Class details:
Art Foundations I is specially designed for children in 1st and 2nd grade (ages 6–8) and focuses on building strong, age-appropriate drawing and coloring skills.
*Multiple lessons are connected to literature to support cognitive development and creative confidence.
In this class, your child will learn how to:

Draw using lines and shapes by breaking down what they see into simple parts

Recognize and use patterns and basic composition (like size and distance)

Understand color basics— value and 2 color shading & blending

Introduction to basic techniques in Colored Pencil, Oil pastels and Watercolor.

By the end of this course, your child will have a portfolio of their own artwork to showcase their progress and newfound artist skills.
This course can be taken twice
before lessons repeat.
