Class details:

Art Foundations 2 is designed for children in 3rd and 4th grade (ages 8–10) and is taught live online via Zoom. This course builds on the foundational skills introduced in Art I, guiding young artists toward greater confidence and creativity.
*Various lessons integrate age appropriate science themes to support critical thinking and creativity across subjects.
 

In this class, your child will:

• Refine their drawing skills by improving line quality, adding detail, and exploring texture

• Explore composition concepts like cast shadows and negative space

• Learn how to use the color wheel to create expressive color combinations, including complementary colors and three-color shading

• Use materials like oil pastels and watercolors for more advanced, multi-media projects

• Continue building pattern and design skills through creative line work
   

Each step-by-step lesson is designed to deepen your child’s understanding of the elements of art in a fun and engaging way.​
