Class details:
In this colorful and creative workshop, young artists will draw an illustrated hummingbird and flower using line and colored pencil, focusing on details and vibrant color blending. To contrast the sharpness and control of colored pencil, they’ll use watercolor to paint a soft, flowing background, exploring how different styles and mediums can work together to create depth and visual interest. The workshop will also include a mini lesson on hummingbirds, teaching kids about these fascinating creatures and their natural beauty. This project highlights the beauty of contrast in art—both in technique and texture—while celebrating the elegance of nature and science.
