JUST DRAW 101

Just Draw 101 is designed specifically for younger school-age children in 1st and 2nd grade (ages 6-8).

 

This LIVE ONLINE (zoom) course introduces your child to ... through a series of fun and interactive lessons that teach the beginning skills of drawing technique and expression.

In This Class Your Child will Learn:

• How to really see like an artist – slowing down and noticing shapes, edges, space, and proportions

• Foundational drawing techniques – including contour drawing, gesture drawing, and using basic shapes to build more complex forms

• Sketching with confidence – loosening up and learning that mistakes are part of the process

• Line control and shading basics – understanding how to create depth and form with simple tools

• Step-by-step guidance – drawing fun subjects like animals, objects, faces, and scenes using approachable methods

• Creative thinking – encouraging kids to make their own design choices and experiment with personal style

• Confidence through practice – each class builds skill and self-assurance in a low-pressure environment

Majority of the projects are integrated with literature linguistical and cognitive growth.
