Victoria,
mom of Emma
Emma has grown tremendously in herself thanks to Mrs. Swaney’s art class. She has struggled with comparison and perfectionism and this class has challenged her to see her mistakes as “happy accidents” and come up with creative stories to explain why her drawing looks the way it does. Her confidence has grown and even when she gets frustrated, she doesn’t give up. Mrs. Swaney’s art class goes beyond teaching students art - it teaches them life skills - patience, overcoming challenges, and how to have fun in the midst of imperfection.
